3 - Do not try and get all of the information in your drawing completed at one sitting. Drawing is a process. Layout the general idea of your drawing and then slowly add in your details.
4 - Do not be overly judgmental about your drawing before it is completed. This may cause you to become discouraged and give up.
5 - Do not take on subjects that are too complicated at first. This will certainly cause you to become discouraged if the drawing isn't as good as you expected it to be. Start with simple subjects that you know you can complete and then progress to more complicated ones.
6 - Forget everything you already know about a particular subject before you start drawing it. Draw what you see in front of you and not what you know already about that subject.

Did it ever occurred to you whenever you try to get started drawing anything it turns out harder Thant it looks? Well don't be ashamed it happens to everyone.
Many people have the ability in there mind to make a work of art all it takes is practice to master there own talent. The first step in developmment is to just have fun drawing something that makes you happy or whatever comes to your mind then try observing the sketch to figure out what modifications you need to improve it. re-draw the sketch again but replace it with the modifications you made to last drawing. then step back and observe the second drawing continue to repeat the first and second steps until you are satisfied with your sketching.

I can draw, So you can Too!
hey people I just wanted to share with you something I have been struggling with for some time. And that's the disability to develop confidence in my self to draw. Don't worry I'm totally over it but I still remember the times.
I hear people say "Oh don't know how to draw" or " all I do is draw stick figures". That kills me (not literally), but you get what I mean. Anyways the point I'm trying to say is that when people continually say to other or themselves that they incapable of drawing and sketching, It seems to put a hold on your true abilities to expand and grow just by speaking it unto non-existence. So the next time you think about drawing and that fear of the unknown comes into your mind just say I can do this and start right after you say it. You would surprised to know of the results. How To Draw 3D Cartoons Quickly and Easily
I love drawing cartoons. When I was younger drawing Cartoon characters was my favorite pastime. I believe we as artist become so focused on the complected things in life that we forget about the one thing that inspire us to create a great work of art. Maybe your favorite was

Drawing cartoons is not the most difficult thin in the world but it isn't very easy either. You need time, imagination and sense of proportions to provide vivid character and make your drawings look three-dimensional.
Color and shades have a decisive role in the business but the lines and curves you use for the contour constitute the basic element. The art of adding shadows can be learned by studying objects in different places of your room if you can count on natural light. Otherwise, a lamp may used to detect the difference that light makes in the appearance of an object. Grab a funny toy that you have in the house and a little lamp and start learning. Move the lamp around the toy and make it a visual note of what happens each time.
Now take a pencil and a piece of paper and try putting down your toy character. Draw the contour and when you think it looks like your toy may use a black color pencil to add firmness to contour.
Next step: color your character without thinking of shadows; they will come soon. As soon as you have filled the contour you will have to find the appropriate color pencil to make shadows with. Use darker shade or whatever Color your character is. Don't use gray or black, they will make your drawing look artificial.
With animal cartoon characters, the expression of the eyes and the proper shading are the basic elements that make them 'live'. The only thing to keep in mind is the head, which must be bigger for a baby animal. Yet, when you wan to create people, proportions are a lot more important than colors. What you should do is exggerate more or less in order to make your cartoon character amusing. A kid character will have a body twice the height of the head. While the adult character will look perfect with body twice the height of the head.
Once you have created a set of animal and human cartoon character (preferably on a graphic tablet with a stylus) and saved them in your computer, you may start preparing for a more difficult activity: creating 3D animations. There are several programs you can use to learn

Find Your Place Of Peace
Yeah, that maybe hard to find but I think when it comes to getting away from the hustle of life and just unwind, It's makes all the perfect sense.
Do you ever hated it when you get off of work and your tired, but the only thing you want to do is go home but wait the kids are there waiting to play with you, and all you want is a place of peace. What if your a college student that just got off the 'midterm' train and your exhausted, hungry and tried but you have to come home to a dormitory filled with people who do not know when to stop partying. Or maybe you would like to just find a place of peace to let the inner artist in you come and dazzle the canvas. I know I've been there too...
The first thing I do is clear my mind of every little bit of noise and and get in the car or a quiet place like a cafe, or library (yes they still exist), and just relax and think of the last place where you found that is peaceful and calm. Now envision yourself there for about an hour or so, just long enough so you can rest and be able to enjoy the rest of your afternoon as well.
You can also try this technique before you start drawing and sketching I found that focusing you thoughts on paper and not somewhere before you started drawing will help you enhance your ability to become a better artist. Trust me it works, try it out for yourself and tell me what do you think.

Learn how to sketch by ignoring your eyes
I know what your saying and that is hard to do because need you eyes in order to draw. But what I really meant by it is that you eyes are tricking you into thinking that there is something there when there really isn't
Let me clearfy it again The visual processing that is going on in your brain The reason why your brain tricks you into thinking something different is because It needs something to help it understand what you are looking at. for example: imagine your looking at a table and you wanted to draw it by using the visual perspective the top of it is flat, it's round and straight sides right? Wrong ! your looking from the envisioning it from the top and looking at it from the side.
Try using the visual Perspective (of your viewpoint)
You see your brain plays a lot of tricks like that. Those tricks affect how you affect how you judge the size of things, the distances from one another, their shading. It's called drawing on the right side of your brain.
i would like to recommend getting a good book on this where there is a wealth of knowledge to help keep you sharp as artist. It's called Drawing On The Right Side Of Your Brain By Betty Edwards . I believe it's top best sellers and can help you understand and open your way of thinking to a whole new level.

Why You Should Draw and Paint Even If You Think You Are Hopeless

Children love freehand drawing. So do people such as most painters, illustrators, creative designers. There are also some people who are not professional artists, but like it as a hobby.
But, for probably the greatest part of people in the Western World, being obliged to draw something, even quite simple, would be at least puzzling, annoying, irritating, when not painful.
Many people, sometimes because of negative experiences and useless criticism in early age, believe they are "washouts" at it and that it would make no sense to spend any time sketching more than a couple of lines and a circle, or some nervous scribbles while on the phone.
Are you one of them? Well, this self-limiting belief can prevent you from getting the precious benefits drawing can offer.
And you don't need to be any Michelangelo or Van Gogh. I'm talking about freehand, relaxed, even childish and totally unrealistic drawing.
- Drawing we can sometimes "think better". As I said in a previous article, we think in pictures, thus communicating through images is potentially very easy for us. Our brain loves images.
- Once overcome the initial bias, drawing is often a much more immediate and effective form of language compared to words. Sometimes it helps bring up and release suppressed negative emotions. Psychological support and therapy for children uses drawing very often, taking advantage of their natural tendency to visual expression.
- It facilitates getting in touch with your inner-child. Many issues in adult life are linked to early traumas or negative experiences. What a great and wonderful fan base he has, I mean, wow! millions and millions around the world love this guy and why not he is truly the best in our generation.
I believe the media is taking the whole investigation too far. Please let this man rest in peace! The family greatly asks to be left alone on it. you know regardless of the things Michael has done, he did it because he had so much love for the fans. On his last press conference he stated that " this is his last time, this is it." meaning that he was doing for the last time, not to just clear up bad debt but he knew that his fans still and always love him for the great timeless music he produced. To me that was a GREAT honor and a good dedication, i just wished that they did it sooner before MJ passed. So I would like to tell you loyal die hard fans out there that Michael's spirit is inside of you and it's up to you to keep his legacy Live and well by doing what he started...Making this world a better place. I'm Jay and I would like to take this Posting and dedicate it to the Fans of a Great and powerful entertainer, Known as to many the KING OF POP! Mr Micheal Jackson. What a great and wonderful fan base he has, I mean, wow! millions and millions around the world love this guy and why not he is truly the best in our generation.
I believe the media is taking the whole investigation too far. Please let this man rest in peace! The family greatly asks to be left alone on it. you know regardless of the things Michael has done, he did it because he had so much love for the fans. On his last press conference he stated that " this is his last time, this is it." meaning that he was doing for the last time, not to just clear up bad debt but he knew that his fans still and always love him for the great timeless music he produced.
